An unusual silver and gold bracelet, probably dating to the early 20th century Arts and Crafts movement, circa 1910.
This gorgeous sterling silver bracelet is made up of eleven panels, each decorated with a diamond shaped, concave centre which has been hammered and subsequently coated in gold. In between each panel is a coiled silver wire which helps to create an elaborate gate design. Each individual link is signed ‘MD’ and marked on the underside. The bracelet is crafted with tongue clasp and safety chain.
The bracelet measures 17cm in length, and weighs a good 34.26 grams.
