French Antique Emerald Ring

A striking antique emerald ring, crafted in France circa 1930 and set with a vivid natural emerald of exceptional colour.

The rectangular emerald, weighing approximately 3.5 carats, displays a rich, saturated green hue with natural inclusions visible under magnification; characteristics entirely consistent with an untreated emerald of this period and origin. The stone is held securely in a refined claw setting that allows light to enter freely, enhancing both colour and depth.

The gold mount is elegantly proportioned, with distinctive trifurcated shoulders that taper smoothly into a slim, comfortable shank. This architectural shoulder design is characteristic of early 20th-century French jewellery, combining clean geometry with subtle decorative intent. The rear of the band measures a discreet 2mm, ensuring the ring sits easily on the hand while maintaining a refined profile.

Stamped with the French eagle head control mark and a maker’s mark, the ring tests as solid 18K gold.
