Antique Garnet and Pearl Bracelet
A stunning gold bracelet from the first half of the 19th century. The central panel is set with a rich red garnet cabochon, bordered by creamy natural pearls, and framed with intricate repoussé-work featuring floral and scrolled motifs, typical of Regency era jewellery design.
The bracelet's band is composed of high-karat gold links arranged in an unusual fishtail pattern, a rare and visually striking construction that adds texture and movement to the piece.
Unmarked but tested as 18K gold, the bracelet weighs a substantial 11.89 grams and measures 15.5 cm in length. The garnet measures approximately 7 mm across its longest axis, flanked by 3 mm pearls. A secure box clasp and safety chain complete the piece.
Despite its age, the bracelet remains in excellent condition, with all gemstones securely set and the clasp fastening securely.
A highly wearable and beautifully preserved example of 19th century craftsmanship.
