The band has three cutwork mandarin symbols including fú (happiness), shòu (life and longevity) and ài (love). This pale green jade hue is one of the most desirable varieties of the stone. Jade has been worn in Chinese culture for thousands of years to represent rank and symbolise life and longevity. It was worn by emperors and royalty after death and placed with them in the tomb.
