Edwardian Gem-Set Gold Bangle

A fine early 20th-century hinged bangle bracelet, crafted in rich 14K gold and dating to around 1910. The double-bar design is delicately star-set with small diamonds and a single ruby and sapphire.

The construction is well-balanced, with a pleasing weight of 23.85 grams. The bangle retains its original tongue-and-groove clasp and safety catch, which still lock very securely. Measuring approximately 5.2 by 6.2 centimetres internally with a width of 5 millimetres, it sits comfortably on the wrist with understated elegance.

Stamped with the continental 585 mark (14K gold) and likely made in Germany or Austria, this piece reflects the refined craftsmanship and restrained luxury of Edwardian era jewellery. The condition is very good, showing only light surface wear consistent with age, with no dents or structural damage.

A beautifully preserved jewel from the early 20th century — simple, architectural, and timeless in design — still ready to be worn more than a century later.
