The ring features an octagonal carnelian plaque, layered with a deep red base and a soft whitish upper layer. Remarkably, despite its 130-year history, the carnelian remains unengraved, offering the new owner the opportunity to personalise it with a crest, initials, or monogram if desired.
The shoulders and bezel are finely engraved with intricate foliate motifs, adding both texture and historical character. A pleasing antique patina has developed over time, and there is evidence of a historic resizing, consistent with its age.
