Victorian Gold Signet Ring
A charming English Victorian gold signet ring. The hallmarks tell us that it was made by the jewellers ‘Walter & George Myers’ in Birmingham in 1896.
The smooth signet is crafted in 15K gold and the inside of the ring carries the engraving ‘May 7th 1897’.
Unlike most signet rings from the period, the bezel has remarkably not been engraved with a monogram or coat of arms, despite being 128 years old.
The gold patina of this piece is beautiful and feels very silky on the finger from many years of wear!
UK size N 1/2, US size 7
The ring weighs 6.9 grams and is fully hallmarked for 15K gold. The oval face measures 13mm x 11mm, whilst the band measures 3mm wide at the back.
