Vintage Gold Shield Signet Ring

This bold vintage gold signet ring was crafted in 1981 by Nathan Brothers, renowned manufacturing jewellers based in Vyse Street, Birmingham. The shield design draws inspiration from Edwardian signet ring styles. Traditionally, shields like this would have been engraved with a personal monogram or coat of arms, making it a perfect canvas for customisation.

The ring features intricately carved scrollwork shoulders, complementing the clean, polished surface of the shield. Measuring 13 x 11 mm, the shield offers a prominent presence on the finger, while the band tapers to 3.5 mm across at the back for comfort.
