Vintage Thai Black Diamond Ring
An unusual vintage gold and black diamond ring made in Thailand, second half of 20th century.
This black rose cut diamond set cluster ring is crafted 21K gold. The design is inspired by ceremonial jewels worn by the courts of Bangkok in 18th and 19th century Siam. The gold ring face features five horizontally-aligned rose cuts in bezel settings. The ring is hollow and is decorated with granulated beadwork on the edges.
The ring is in great condition. It is stamped with some hallmarks on the inside, it tests as 21K gold and weighs 2.96 grams in total. Each rose cut measures 4mm x 3mm x 1mm on average. The ring measures 7mm across at the front and 3mm across at the back.
