A lovely antique French gold ring, set with a garnet cabochon, circa 1900.
The plain, tapering band is crafted in solid 18K gold and set with a deep red garnet in a smooth rub-over setting. French control mark and makerās lozenge marks are present to the interior of the band.
A classic, clean design with satisfying proportions and weight. The garnet displays some light surface wear to the top of the dome and minor cracking to the back edge of the band, but both are stable and do not affect wear or integrity. The garnet could be polished further if desired.
