19th Century Diamond & Turquoise Cluster

A stunning cluster ring dating to the late Victorian period circa 1880. This navette-shaped cluster is set with a large cabochon cut natural turquoise cabochon surrounded by 31 natural rose cut diamonds of varying sizes. The grooved D-shaped band is crafted in 18K gold and leads to scrolled shoulders. They adjoin to an intricate pierced gallery decorated in the form of crescents all the way around. The turquoise and diamonds are in open-back settings which explains why they all still they glisten so marvellously as the light is able to pass through the back.
