Victorian Diamond Bangle

Victorian Diamond Bangle

An late 19th century Victorian era rose cut diamond bangle, made in Vienna circa 1895.

This antique Austrian gold hinged bangle bracelet is handcrafted in 14K gold and is adorned with a rose cut diamond in a rub over setting (approx. 0.4ct). The bangle features a rope twist motif running down the front and is complete with a box clasp. A gorgeous piece of Victorian craftsmanship.

The bangle has an internal diameter of 5.8cm x 4.9cm and weighs a total of 11.68 grams.

The bangle is in good overall condition. The safety chain has been removed (typically so the bangle can be opened wider for a larger wrist), and the riveted hinge is a little loose but still locks and functions securely.

The tongue of the box clasp is stamped with a variety of hallmarks including the makers mark ‘H&F’ as well as an Austrian wolf’s head hallmark to indicate that it was made in the city of Vienna, between the years 1872-1922, and of a fineness of 14K gold.
