The central cushion cut sapphire (approx 1ct) displays a highly saturated velvety blue colour (possibly of Kashmir origin), which contrasts with the hue of the yellow gold beautifully. The stone is rubover set in a foiled and closed-back mount, surrounded by a clawed belcher setting leading to a D-shaped band.

The ring weighs a total of 4.47 grams, it is unmarked but test as 18K gold.
