Vintage Modernist Gold Ring
A stylish vintage modernist ring made in France around 1970. The ring takes the form of a smooth D-shaped gold band, the front set with three rectangular inlaid panels of luminescent purple resin. The panels display a beautiful opalescent sheen in the light, graduating subtly in tone from a deeper purple to a softer lavender across the three sections.
The clean geometric composition is typical of French modernist jewellery of the 1960s and 1970s, where bold colour and minimal forms were favoured over traditional gemstone settings.
