This beautiful vintage drop pendant was made in Paris and features a large emerald cabochon (approximately 14ct) and a baroque pearl of an equal size hanging just below.
The design is simplistic yet timeless, both components beautifully complement each other. This arrangement of a bright cabochon gemstone placed above a hanging baroque pearl has proven popular throughout history, particularly during the Renaissance.
The natural emerald displays some typical inclusions and could be repolished but still has a lovely translucency and fantastic colour, whilst the baroque pearl boasts a lustrous nacre with blueish-purple hues.
Pendant measures 5cm including bail (4cm without), it weighs 9.78g, and carries French hallmarks for 18K gold.
