A gorgeous vintage Italian Cancer zodiac pendant, crafted in 18K yellow gold and dating from the 1950s.Ā
The design features a central crabāthe astrological symbol for Cancerārendered in bright red enamel with subtle orange undertones. Surrounding the crab are three delicate white enamel stars.Ā
Measuring 18mm in diameter, and weighing 3.08 grams, the circular medallion is framed by a twisted gold border and set in a flat, solid gold mount. The enamel work is in excellent condition, and the vibrant colour remains crisp and well-preserved.
The reverse is stamped with Italian gold control marks and a makerās mark ā38MIā for S. A. Emilio Pagani, an established goldsmith active in Milan from 1949. The pendant also bears a clear ā750ā stamp, confirming its 18K gold fineness.
